Hedcut Drawings

I'm loving this video on wsj.com about how the iconic hedcuts are made.

RSA Animate

KT sent me this link and it's amazing. If you have time, watch the whole thing. I love it! I want to watch more of them.

Willow and Gwyneth

Two videos I'm a bit obsessed with right now.

1. Willow Smith - Whip My Hair (9 year old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith). Whoa

2. Gwyneth Paltrow - Country Strong from the movie of the same name. Is there anything she can't do?

So much to share...

Things I've been looking at and thinking about this week...

The Exquisite Book , is definitely on my wish list. Check out the video below.

I'm loving Covet Garden, a Canadian online Magazine. And now I want to name my unborn daughter Clover. Or maybe Puddle. So cute.

Speaking of online magazines. I'm having trouble. I love them, especially Lonny, but I miss the tactile nature of magazines. I want to touch and clip and stack them up on my nightstand. I know in time I will adjust. But it's taking longer than I thought!

I've been wanting to check out Anthology. It's a quarterly print! magazine, but you can also check it out online.

I've also added some new blogs to my reader. Any other suggestions? What are you reading?

Did you watch RH:BH last night? You can watch it here. I only got to watch the first half, but it seems amazing so far... as promised. Washed up child stars, divorce, plastic surgery and all of them are DRIPPING in money as never before seen on RH. I'm in love already!

Next week on Finch...
Office redecorate
Trip to NYC
Books!

Danny + Annie

From Cup of Jo. I dare you to watch this and not tear up. Story Corps is my favorite part of Friday mornings on NPR and this is no exception! It reminds me of my grandparents Willie and Ann.

RH: Beverly Hills

Especially after the snooze fest that is RH: DC, this looks amazing! I can't wait.

Mila's Daydreams

Some of you have probably already seen this, but I couldn't resist posting. I saw it the other day and then Natalie reminded me of it today.

Mila's mom imagines and creates a scene around her while she's napping and then snaps some pictures.

Read more about her method here.

Poopfoot-Atty for Prez!

Some of you may already know that Nicky calls me "Poopfoot". I may or may not have stepped in Atticus' poop... once. The nickname stuck. Today Nicky sent me the clip below... it's pretty hysterical! That Nicky, he's the best!

Man On Wire

I saw a story on DCist about a new documentary called "Man On Wire". James Marsh "chronicles the story of Phillipe Petit, who in 1974 stunned the world by managing to sneak up to the top of the then-under-construction World Trade Center, string 450 pounds of steel wire across the chasm between the towers, and then spent the better part of an hour walking, dancing, and hopping around on a 3/4 inch cable a quarter of a mile above the concrete and asphalt below." I really want to see this but I think my palms would be sweaty the whole time!

Autism: The Musical

Another gift from Daily Candy. You MUST watch this documentary on HBO. You can watch the entire thing online through Sunday, March 30th. The film follows five autistic kids and their parents as they take part in The Miracle Project and put together a musical. I am totally in love with all of these kids (although I have a special affinity for Wyatt - far right). No, seriously. Watch it.

Preview below.

Melody Gardot

I heard Melody Gardot on Weekend Edition this past weekend. She's fantastic and has such an interesting story. Sounds like a cross between Edith Piaf and Norah Jones.

Check out the NPR Music site to hear some of her songs and read her story. Or visit her site.
