Marimekko

I recently went to my first Marimekko store while visiting KT and Nicky in NYC. A dream come true. The wall of fabric was just as gorgeous as the photo above. If you aren't familiar with Marimekko, you make recognize their very popular print Unikko, seen below.

KT and Nicky used the Ginkgo print (below) to make a piece of wall art that covers a large wall in their new apartment. The best part? The leaves in the print were actually on the ground in NYC while I was there. How apropos! And beautiful.

This cow print (Kevätjuhla) is all over CB2 right now.

And this is my current favorite: Keisarinna. Kind of muted for me. Must be the weather.

Marimekko is a Finnish company founded in 1951. Per wikipedia, Marimekko fabrics were made famous in the United States by Jacqueline Kennedy, who bought eight Marimekko dresses which she wore throughout the 1960 US Presidential campaign.

Perfect.

Yellow and Grey

KT and I have been talking about our love for all things yellow and grey lately. This photo from Design*Sponge really caught my eye. Check out this link to see the rest of the house. I'm in love with the whole thing. Also, Coco + Kelley has an entire Yellow & Grey post!

Ham Man

Nicky sent over these photos of Hamlin the pup. He lives with Merrie and Anne in Maine. Now that's a pup smile that will make your day!

Busy season at work is complete so I promise to be better about posting.

I had my own NYC celeb sighting this weekend...

Ivanka Trump on Madison Avenue!
