I am positive I am way behind the curve on this one. But during my morning facebook perusing today, I came across a link to a woman that went to my high school (a year older than me?) who has really hit it big. Like her song was featured in a car commercial - big. Here's her website and a few videos. I think they speak for themselves. I'm in love to say the least. Every time I hear her voice I feel like I'm walking into an Anthropologie store, and you know that's my happy place. Also, she is soooooo gorgeous!

Willow and Gwyneth

Two videos I'm a bit obsessed with right now.

Willie

Because I am my father's daughter, I LOVE Willie Nelson. So much so, that my Dad and I danced to 'Blue Skies' at our wedding in May. I wonder if it would be weird to hang this print in our apartment. That's probably a good question for Jefe.

I also just found this concert poster online and love it... even though I didn't happen to see this show.

Shwayze

It's possible that I am a giant tool... but we already knew that. I was watching Run's House on MTV last night, one of my all-time favorite shows. A new show came on after called Shwayze. I had seen ads for it, but chalked it up to some silly new teeny bopper show, as if I'm above The Hills and the like. Anyway... I got hooked of course, and not only did I enjoy the show (keep in mind that I have very low standards), I'm kinda diggin' on their single "Buzzin". Madonna

Does anyone else think her left eye looks like it is sliding off her face. Look how far away the actual eye is from her brow bone. I keep seeing the picture of her in promotional materials for her latest album and I just can't get past it. Weird.

Vanessa Paradis - L'incendie

I'm headed to Paris for a week in June and I have begun to try to absorb all things French. This is my latest favorite. I just wish I knew French! I think she is saying "Katherine, your blog is great, even if it makes you a giant tool". Something like that. Vanessa also happens to be Johnny Depp's wife. That's a lot of hotness under one roof.

Basia Bulat

A co-worker just turned me on to Basia Bulat. Her first album is "Oh, My Darling" and is really fun. I have been listening to it all morning at work. Her website is fun too, Im in love with the bird graphic that lists the menu items.

P.S... Doesn't she look like she could be Michele Williams' sister?

Melody Gardot

I heard Melody Gardot on Weekend Edition this past weekend. She's fantastic and has such an interesting story. Sounds like a cross between Edith Piaf and Norah Jones.
