But I did just purchase a customized graphic print of Atty from Miss Crowland's shop on etsy. I sent the below photo to this artist who is going to 'create a digital illustration' like the one above of the one and only Sir Atticus. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Q is for Quahog

On one of my first trips to Boston to visit the Qs, I learned what a quahog is. Pronounced 'Co-Hog', I had no idea what they were talking about for a good 10 minutes. It's really just a clam and people go 'Down Cape' to dig for 'em. When I saw this print on etsy, I knew I had to have it one day... maybe for a nursery down the road... WAY down the road.

There are so many things I could say about this photo, mainly because I have a mega girl-crush on Blake Lively. But I'm posting this because I think that dog is the cutest damn thing. More Macaroni...

Katherine + New Camera for Christmas = Finally pictures of Macaroni! 

Turns out that Goldendoodles are smart like Poodles and ADD like Golden Retreivers and Macaroni is no exception. He knows how to sit, but he sure wont stay there for too long! Apparently Dee and Bill were watching a show on Animal Planet last night about Poodles and Mac couldn't keep his eyes off the television. How wild is that?

I didn't exactly do a good job of posting over the Thanksgiving break. I did however, spend a lot of time with my parents' new puppy Macaroni! He's an adorable Goldendoodle. I'll try to find some good pictures to post, but in the mean time, he looks a lot like this...

Jefe and I are sitting for Betty, our friend Becky's Jack Russell Terrier this weekend and I'm getting really excited. And there's a baby Jack Russell on Daily Puppy today too! I can't wait to spend the weekend with my favorite pup!

Atticus & The Giant Peach

Turns out Atty has a thing for peaches. Jefe and I had returned from a farmer's market (more on that later) and noticed that Atty was all about this peach in the fruit bowl. He somehow got it out of the bowl and then began to treat it like it was his lil' baby doll! He rubbed his head all over it and then sat with it in his arms. Finally he took a little nap with his cheek on the peach. See pictures below. I've never seen anything like it and I swear we didn't place the peach. All Atty.

Funny Story

So my office shares a ladies room with an organization that employees several people who are blind. One woman in particular I see in the ladies room a couple times a week. She is very nice and uses a guide dog. Of course it kills me to be around such a cute pup and not be able to interact with him, but I respect that he is working and avoid any contact. Well, except that he joins me in the stall about once a week. He is often in the next stall with his owner, but his upper body peaks in to my stall and looks up at me just like this:

It's hysterical and takes everything in me not to laugh out loud. I imagine he's thinking the same thing I am... "Man, two more hours and we're outta here!"

Chloe and Oliver

Laura and Scott were so kind to have us over to play with their new kittens last night. Chloe and Oliver are half-siblings and are about three weeks apart... they have the same father. Oliver is the eldest and is orange with a pink nose. Chloe is the 3lb cutie in white. Im obsessed. What little angels!

Atticus Finch

When I first showed up at Katherine's apartment,

I thought I stepped into a pet department.

I learned really fast who was the boss,

And I hoped that Atty wouldn't get cross.

But here we are now, a year and a half later,

And it is to Atticus that I now cater.

For since I met this cat - black and white,

Not a wink of sleep have I slept every night.

For Atticus Finch while I love thee so,

Not once in your life have you ever heard "no".

So on this very special day of your great birth,

Starting your third year on this big, green earth.

I hope you know that with all that you do,

I bought a contraption to scoop up your poo.

Happy birthday Atty, from the bottom of my heart,

And I hope at no point do our paths ever part.

Betty

This is Betty.

She is my favoritist littlest dog ever.

Betty is 8 years old and was rescued from a puppy mill in Virginia.

She also has really great taste in bedding.

Jefe and I stayed with Betty for a few nights last week and had a blast. I had always heard that Jack Russell Terriers were hyper and yappy and not as great as their cute looks might suggest. NOT TRUE. Betty was a delight, well trained by her Momma and VERY snuggly. She slept under the covers with us and her head on the pillow. A total love bug. I can't wait for our next play date!
