Not only did UofL just win the Big East Championship (a first), and is likely to be a #1 seed in the tournament, but AU is headed to the dance for the second year in a row!

A DC Celebrity Sighting! I saw Blythe Danner today near my office. She's just as gorgeous in real life! Plus, what a great name!

Kentucky Derby 135

I can't believe it's only 57 days until the Kentucky Derby! You'll have to forgive me for neglecting such amazing news until now! Let the countdown begin!

Renee

There we were eating our tartines when who does Itty Bitty spot, but Renee Zellweger. I didn't get the best look, but apparently she looked amazing. Short blonde pony, dark rimmed glasses and she was with a stud. They were eating in the back corner of the restaurant and her back was to the door but Itty has a good eye and the sighting was confirmed when Renee and stud paid their bill and left the restaurant, walking right past us. I love New York.

Domino

I also got this yumminess for my birthday. It's on my nightstand right now, I think I'll read a page a night to ensure beautiful dreams.

Color

I got this great book from Jefe for my birthday. It's called Color: A Natural History of the Palette. I'm so excited to get started, it's right up my alley. After I finish American Wife of course!

Owls

I know I'm pretty late to the game on this one, but I have been seeing owl prints everywhere. At first glance, I do not find owls aesthetically appealing, but the more I look, the more I like. Here are some of my faves. The first is wrapping paper I actually received with a gift recently.

Shepard Fairey

I can't believe I forgot to post this! Jefe and I were recently in Boston and took a little tour of the Shepard Fairey exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art. It was so worthwhile and so fascinating! I really didn't know much about Fairey until Nicky introduced me a while ago when we saw Obey graffiti, but I had totally forgotten about him until I saw the now very famous Obama portrait. I'm so glad we saw the exhibit, I learned so much and you can too by visiting this website.
